Salomon Cigar
A Salomon is a member of the diadema group of cigars, known for its large figurado shape with pointed, tapered heads and bulbous feet featuring a nipple tip. The Cuaba Salomon is 7 1/4 inches long with a 57 ring gauge. Rolling these
cigars is a demanding task due to their curves and size, requiring significant skill and time. A proficient roller can make only about 50 to 60 Salomons in a day. The contemporary Salomon was created by Christopher Wolters, an innovative cigar merchant from Dusseldörf, Germany. In the mid-1990s, the Partagás factory discreetly produced a limited quantity of these cigars, with only 5,000 of these large figurados being made. They were presented in individually numbered wooden humidors, each uniquely designed, containing two bundles of 25 cigars each. Initially priced at around $10,000, these cigars have become popular, with the term "Salomones" used for their plural form, now appearing in the non-Cuban cigar market as well.
